Frequently asked questions.

What does the milk taste like?

Just like store bought cows milk, with a touch of sweetness! Many members say that they wouldn’t know it wasn’t cows milk if nobody had told them! Want to try a sample? Click here to try it free!

Are your goats organic/grain free/given shots?

Short answer - no, but it’s more nuanced. We have strict protocols for our goats that focus on our herd health trying to build a herd that can survive without the use of prescription meds.

We move goats to new pasture every 24-36hrs, add Apple Cider Vinegar to our goats water periodically and keep a lot of pine in our goat’s diet as it is also a natural de-wormer. All this being said, when a goat gets sick there is not much time to treat them. We will always do what’s best for our goats. In the event they do get sick to the point that they need veterinary care, medicine will be given to them in accordance with our vet. Any milk withdrawal periods will be far exceeded before the goat is put back into the milking herd.

Our goats come from very high end production lines so we can maximize our acreage to the best of its potential and give our members the best tasting milk. The goats eat a primarily pasture based diet and have access to pasture year round, but are fed a small amount of NON-GMO grain when they come in for milking each day.

Where can we get milk?

Plymouth, MI - Parking lot of Pure Pastures, an organic grocery store from 4-6pm Tuesday evenings

Do you practice regenerative agriculture?

Yes! Everything starts with soil health. That is at the forefront of our minds in every decision. During the grazing season, the goats are moved to fresh pasture daily allowing their manure to be spread evenly across the field while also mitigating the chances of having any parasite issues in our pastures. Healthy soils make healthy animals producing healthy foods for our members!
